Restoration
Nigel Restoration Project Indian Lambretta GP 150. As you can see from the photo's it was not going straight on the road. so I started. first of all was the strip. then off to the blasters it all went. when it came back I could see what was ok, and what needed work. first job was to acid etch spray paint all the bare panels. next was to fill in all the dents etc. the frame went to Andy's for a bit of welding doing. Next step after welding was to sand down and re etch any bare metal. then 2 pack primer/filler was sprayed onto all the panels and frame etc, then full primer was sprayed onto everything. it's now had the basecoat applied and lacquer. it's going to be re-lacquered again. and maybe a bit of airbrush/artwork in between lacquers. the engine was taken to Wakefield scooters for the strip and re build. Iola 185 top end, Reed valve, AF Ray speed racing crank, AF Rayspeed electronic kit with lightened flywheel, 30 mm spaco carb, an li150 gearbox and a JL race pipe. the casings have been sent away for powder coating in a burnt orange candy colour. The forks and tool box have been chrome plated. I've also bought a set of drops for the front end and a outboard hydraulic front disc. Well "Jack" is complete. Have a LOOK !!!!
Mark's Indian GP150 Well I took the plunge & bought myself a project from Scootus in Morley. A GP150 CURRY BURNER. I've stripped it down & the frame has been to the blaster's. I have etched primed & filled the needed parts. Also sent Forks away for Chroming at Midas. few other things to do I will keep you updated when I move forward with the Build.
Anymore restoration jobs before & after pics. please send them to me at the E-Mail address above cheers Mark
